Red Cross Blood Drive
Students at McCormick High School will host a Red Cross blood drive on Thurs., April, 22, from 9am to 2pm, to help alleviate a serious shortage of blood and blood products. The blood drive is open to students, staff and members of the public. Those who have experienced coronavirus and are fully recovered can donate, and there is no waiting period for individuals who have received COVID-19 vaccine. Appointments can be made online at www.redcrossblood.org; enter Chiefs as the sponsor code and select a time to donate. Donors must wear face masks or face coverings and will have their temperature taken at the door. The Red Cross is observing strict COVID precautions to protect donors, staff and volunteers.
